GROW: Fitness program for children

GROW: program will encourage children aged (5 to 12 years) to be active and fit and to combat the growing obesity and other lifestyle diseases. We envisioned GROW as a program where children can learn the art of staying active and fit, and develop various social and motor skills.

Mission: “to help our youth develop skills for lifelong habits necessary to promote and achieve optimum health”.

Today children spent most of their time indoor, engaging with a range of electronic devices. Such routines which include little or no exercise are very wrong for child growth and development, and led to poor health, poor performance in school (both academics and extracurricular), lethargy, increased obesity, reclusive behavior outside the virtual world, poor social interaction and concern for others, weak eyesight, eating and sleep disorders, attention disorders, depression, etc., among children.

GROW will teach children the importance of developing good fitness habits very early in life. GROW is specially designed fitness programs for children to be conducted in a state-of-the-art facility under the guidance of trained and certified instructors.

The 60 min dynamic fitness class includes specially selected and designed training in Yoga, Aerobics, specialized training for height improvement, posture correction, motor skill development, eye sight improvement etc, Military training technique, Boot camps, obstacle courses, and teamwork and cooperation circuits, Dynamic stretching, Games, fun activities and challenge training, dance, Self defense, stability and balancing training, Running drills and outdoor fitness training, Diet counseling and image makeover techniques.
